Ricky Ponting : Cricket Legend
Ricky "Punter" Ponting, AO, is considered to be one of Australia’s finest cricketers of the modern era. He became captain of the Australia national cricket team from 2004 until 2001, known as the “golden era”, in 2011 Test cricket and 2002 and 2011 One Day International cricket. Ponting is a right-hand batsman, a catching fielder and a bowler. He is known to be the only Australian test captain to lead three separate Ashes, World Cups and a member of the 1999 World Cup winning team. He played for Tasmania, Somerset, Kolkata Knight Riders, Hobart Hurricanes, Mumbai Indians, Surrey and Antigua Hawksbills. He played cricket at such an early age since his family came from strong cricket-playing relatives. Ponting made his ODI debut in 1995.

Along with four other players, Ponting scored of a total of 13,378 Test runs at an average of 51.85, leading 48 victories in 77 Tests between 2004 and 2010.
