Tenpin Bowling at the Commonwealth Games
Tenpin Bowling was introduced to in the program of the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur. In this event, the competition was dominated by the host country Malaysia and Australia, taking 9 of the available 15 medals between them.

Commonwealth Tenpin Bowling Championships
Unfortunately for the followers of this sport, tenpin bowling has not been on the Commonwealth Games official program since 1998. Instead, a Commonwealth Tenpin Bowling Championships was organized in the same year in 2002 and 2006. Currently, the championship are held every two years, and not in the same years a the Commonwealth Games. It is hoped that tenpin bowling will again be part of the Commonwealth Games program in the future, and that this tournament will meld back in with the official program.
- In 2002 the inaugural Commonwealth Tenpin Bowling Championships were held in Stirling, Scotland.
- In 2006 the 3rd Commonwealth Tenpin Bowling Championships were held in Melbourne, Australia.
