The 17th Paralympic Summer Games were held in Paris, France, from August 28 until September 8, 2024.
Sports
There were no changes to the sports program since the Tokyo 2021 Paralympics.
The 22 sports were: athletics, archery, badminton, boccia, canoe, cycling, equestrian, football 5-a-side, goalball, judo, powerlifting, rowing, shooting, sitting volleyball, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, triathlon, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair fencing, wheelchair rugby and wheelchair tennis. Countries
170 countries participated in the Paris 2024 Paralympics, with the following countries making their Paralympic debuts: American Samoa, Chad, Equatorial Guinea, Eswatini, Guam, Kiribati, Kosovo, Palau, South Sudan and Tuvalu. The list also included the Neutral Paralympic Athletes (NPA) and the refugee (RPT) teams.
Athletes
More than 4,000 athletes from around the world will competed in 549 medal events.

Trivia
- Alhtough Paris has hosted the Olympic Games three times, it is the first time Paris will host the Paralympics. It is also the second time that France has hosted the Paralympic Games (Tignes and Albertville jointly hosted the 1992 Winter Paralympics).
