Every sport has a unique requirement for fitness. There is a certain level of strength, speed, and endurance. The training for each sport should also reflect these differences. Some sports will be more skill-based and the need for fitness is only minimal. Others require a high level of all-round fitness like in team sports, or maybe high levels in a particular component of fitness, such as aerobic fitness for marathon running.
