A TV sporting challenge show to find Australia's greatest athlete, sponsored by Rexona, has been running since 2009. Here are details of the third series of Rexona Australia's Greatest Athlete held in 2011, starting Feb 13, and filmed at the Novatel Twin Waters Resort on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland Australia. Top athletes from a range of sports are were chosen, with each athlete tested in 15 challenges and the winner determined by the athlete that performs the best across all 15 tasks. The Athletes
Eight athletes from Australia sport went head to head in the Season 3 of Australia's greatest athlete challenge. Final points results and order is as shown. Billy Slater, who won the first two seasons of the show, did not defend his title, but was still there as a 'Rexona Ambassador'.

2011 Challenges
The sportsmen will compete in eleven challenges over six episodes. Here are details of the challenges.
- Mini Ironman Challenge - a class sprint style ironman race which includes soft sand running, swimming, board paddling and surf ski paddling.
- Swimming Challenge - a test of swimming power and technique, a timed swim over 40m.
- Bench Press Challenge - maximum number of bench press repetitions at 75% of their body weight. See details of the relative bench press test.
- Jet Ski Challenge - a slalom jet ski time trial, testing of coordination, skill and nerve in the Twin Waters Lagoon. The athletes need to navigate through a challenging series of buoys in the shortest time.
- AFL Kick for Goal - Competitors are given 5 different kicks at goal from different positions, including a 50m shot and banana kick.
- Rugby Challenge - Athletes compete one-on-one to attack and defend in an 'oz-tag' style rugby showdown. The event was held on a rectangular area of beach sand. The object of this challenge was get past the defender to score a try, while the defender attempts to pull off material strips (tags) attached to each hip of the attacker. The score is the distance gained.
- 40m Sprint Challenge - speed test, sprint race in the sand over 40 meters (see details of 40m sprint testing)
- Surf Boat Rowing - in this event the athletes compete in teams of four, testing teamwork and communication.
- Basketball Shooting Challenge - the athletes are given 5 shots worth 2 points each from around the key. A missed shot can be redeemed with a rebound and layup, worth only one point. Speed is also a factor, as they only have 30 seconds.
- Boxing Punching Power Challenge - by punching a padded force plate, they must aim to generate the most total force in one minute.
- Multisport Final Challenge(Assault Course) - In the final challenge of the show competitors completed an army style obstacle course - requiring them to crawl, climb, jump, sprint, and lift - in the fastest time possible. The course involved stepping though tires, crawling though a tunnel, climbing over a wooden obstacle, walking the beam, monkey bars, crawling under a cargo net, tossing a tire, stepping over hurdles and sprinting home, all on sand.
