1995 Rugby World Cup

The 1995 World Cup was hosted by South Africa, who also won the tournament.

This was the first Rugby World Cup to be held in a single country.
The final was played at Ellis Park, Johannesburg. The winner was South Africa, who beat New Zealand 15-12.
New Zealand controversially claimed there was a conspiracy to make their players ill through food-poisoning the day before the final.
